Roughly translated, "deepak jyoti" means "illustrious or exalted light", a widespread concept in Indian religious symbolism... This attractive Indian brass incense burner can be used for incense cones or charcoal discs (placed inside the main section) or for incense sticks (placed through the lid, and into the small support situated in the centre of the base). It's a very good size - with the lid in place, it measures approximately 5.5 inches (14cm) in height - but you can use it with the lid on or off, as you prefer. Both sections are pierced with star-shaped holes, which allow the smoke to drift gently out... and the foot is decorated with the sacred Sanskrit characters "Om" and the "Svastika", the ancient symbol of good fortune, harmony and protection. EXCELLENT VALUE AT £6.99 each plus post & packing. (For a smaller version of this incense burner, please click here...) |
