27) Nepalese incense - in three great varieties...

Nepal is situated between India and Tibet, with the Himalayan mountain range  running across the north and west of the country. The country's culture is strongly influenced by both Indian and Tibetan traditions... and many Buddhist monks, exiled from Tibet because of the Chinese occupation of their country, now reside in Nepal.

These three varieties of Nepalese incense reflect this mixed culture - the fragrances are quite Indian in style, but the form of the incense is like Tibetan incense - "fat" sticks with a herbal base, rolled with no central bamboo / wooden core.

• Natural Ayurvedic Medicinal Incense - approximately 25 x 9 inch (23cm) sticks per packet, burning for around 70 minutes each. (Sorry, temporarily out of stock.) 

• Pure Aromatic Tuberose Dhoop - approximately 19 x 7 inch (18cm) sticks per packet, burning for around 60 minutes each.

• Pure Aromatic Nagchampa Dhoop - approximately 19 x 7.5 inch (19cm) sticks per packet, burning for around 60 minutes each.

Natural Ayurvedic Medicinal Incense is produced according to the ancient traditions of the Vedic texts. As well as being used for the treatment of many different conditions, this incense is good for purifying the atmosphere.

Pure Aromatic Tuberose Dhoop is made from the flowers of the night-blooming tropical tuberose plant, which are greatly admired for their sweet, intoxicating and heady fragrance.

Pure Aromatic Nagchampa Dhoop is the fragrance usually associated with Laxmi, the Hindu goddess of wealth. This incense is also said to be useful for relieving pain from headaches, rheumatism, gout, allergies, and gastric problems.
