Postage & Packing Charges

We firmly believe in giving you a fair deal on postage & packing (shipping & handling) costs. Unlike some sellers, we base our charges on what it costs us to send your order, plus the cost of the packaging materials used, and VAT where appropriate. 

These costs are added to your order, calculated on the total weight of the package, as follows:

• For delivery within the United Kingdom: PLEASE ALLOW UP TO 10 DAYS FOR DELIVERY   
  Orders for delivery to addresses within the UK (including Northern Ireland, the Hebrides, Orkney Islands, Shetland Islands, Isles of Scilly and Channel Islands) are normally despatched within 1 working day of receipt of the order. All UK orders are sent by Royal Mail, and you can choose either First Class (usually delivered the next working day), Second Class (delivery usually in 2-3 working days), or Standard Parcel (delivery usually in 3-5 working days). 

• Please note that Second Class post is not available for packages weighing over 1000g, so these are despatched by First Class post. 

• First and Second Class packets are covered by Royal Mail's compensation scheme in the event of their loss, up to a value of £36.

• Standard Parcels are covered by Royal Mail's compensation scheme in the event of their loss, up to their full value.

• For orders over £36 in value, please select the Standard Parcel service in order to qualify for full compensation in the event of loss or damage in transit.

(Charges are calculated and added automatically by the shopping basket.)

• SPECIAL DELIVERY (NEXT DAY) WITHIN THE UNITED KINGDOM: If you need to guarantee that your order will be delivered quickly, you can choose the Royal Mail's Special Delivery option in the shopping basket. This guarantees delivery before 1pm on the working day following posting (excluding weekends and Bank Holidays) - and we will always try our best to post orders received before 12.00 noon, Monday - Friday, the same day. Special Delivery packages include compensation up to a value of £500 in the event of their loss. Please note a signature is required upon delivery.

• For delivery outside the United Kingdom:  PLEASE ALLOW UP TO 28 DAYS FOR DELIVERY Orders for delivery to addresses within Europe, the USA and the rest of the world are normally despatched within 1 working day of receipt of order by Airmail. (Surface mail delivery is not available as an option due to its unreliability.) Charges for Airmail delivery are calculated and added automatically by the shopping basket.

• Airmail packets are covered by Royal Mail's compensation scheme in the event of their loss, up to a value of £36.

• The following countries are treated as Europe for postal pricing purposes: 
  
  A)  Albania, Andorra, Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Azores.
  B)  Balearic Islands, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria.
  C)  Canary Islands, Corsica, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic.
  D)  Denmark.
  E)  Estonia.
  F)  Faroe Islands, Finland, France.
  G)  Georgia, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Greenland.
  H)  Hungary.
  I)  Iceland, Irish Republic, Italy.
  K)  Kazakhstan, Kirghizstan.
  L)  Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg.
  M)  Macedonia (Former Yugoslav Rep. of), Madeira, Malta, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro.
  N)  Netherlands, Norway.
  P)  Poland, Portugal.
  R)  Romania, Russia.
  S)  San Marino, Serbia, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Spitzbergen, Sweden, Switzerland.
  T)  Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan.
  U)  Ukraine, Uzbekistan.
  V)  Vatican City State.
  
  

• There is NO additional charge for the completion of Customs documentation, where required. However, we reserve the right to decline orders which may contravene Customs regulations applicable in the destination country.

• We are not responsible for any Customs / import duty or other local taxes payable on your order in the destination country. Any such charges are your responsibility as the buyer.
