This striking antique-finish silver-coloured Tibetan pendant takes the form of a dorje (sometimes spelled durji, or vajra in Sanskrit), meaning thunderbolt. In Tibetan Buddhism, it represents masculine force, sudden inspiration, and the "cutting" of ignorance and illusion. In religious ceremonies, it's used in combination with a bell, representing the female aspect of wisdom... together they symbolise the attainment of enlightenment. The 2.5 inch (65mm) pendant hangs on a 32 inch (820mm) knotted thong. Great value at only £3.99, plus post & packing. |
