Laos Agarwood or Oud comes from the Malaccensis sub-species of the Aquilaria tree and is renowned for its soft, yet uplifting qualities. In the Lao PDR, Agarwood is known as Mai Ketsana - and this name is shared across its border with Thailand too.
Agarwood from Laos, and from its own indigenous sub-species of the Aquilaria tree, offers a distinct personality. You'll find this to be a sweet woody with Balsamic/spice with an overall uplifting quality. This is a good Incense stick to burn to induce a lighthearted mood rather than meditative.
