Aloeswood, also known as Agarwood, is considered to be one of the worlds most superior ingredients in aromatic products such as incense. This variety is blended to maximise the spicy top notes.
Kohden is Japanese for 'To convey fragrance' and reflects a heritage of Japanese incense that has been influenced by contact with other regions of the world. Over the centuries, incense ingredients and arabesque patterns came to Japan through the Silk Road from the Middle East. Kohden is packaged in herbal motif arabesque boxes to show respect for the ancient people who carried the incense into Japan. Further, the sticks are wrapped in Japanese paper and a stick holder/burner is included too.
