Frankincense Absolute - a smooth and refreshing fragrance. Differentiated from Frankincense in the Classic range by the addition of more and higher quality Frankincense resins. The resulting fragrance is smoother with bright citrus notes at the low end; plus any notes from the base materials are reduced.
Frankincense is an aromatic resin obtained from trees of the Boswellia genus. Most harvested in Somalia; with the rest coming from adjacent countries such as Ethiopia, Sudan S. Arabia. It’s harvested by cutting or scraping the tree bark, which causes the resin to extrude and then harden. These hardened resin lumps are known as Frankincense Tears.
